Episode # 34
Q1: What did you want to be growing up?
Growing up I wanted to be a hairstylist or a model. I was obsessed with the images in magazines and knew I wanted to do something in the fashion industry, but at the time I had no idea what that was. I remember I used to tell my dad I was going to work with the models on billboards in LA. He would always say to me “Not without a college degree you won’t.”
Q2:. What is your philosophy in life?
My philosophy in life is to do what you love and surround yourself with the people who make you feel good. Many people find themselves trapped in their current lives or jobs because they feel they aren’t capable of pursuing what they are truly passionate about. That is completely untrue. It is never too late to take control of your future and love the life you’re living. Surrounding yourself with people who make you happy, lift you up and inspire you to be the best is so incredibly important.
Q3: What is your favorite thing about working as a photographer?
I love sharing my vision with the world. Photography is such an amazing outlet to share how you feel or what you are inspired by without speaking at all. It provides me with such an interesting confidence, because I am able to connect with the world on such a large scale without the focus being on me.

Q4. What is your philosophy in life?
My philosophy on life is to do what you love and surround yourself with the people who make you feel good.
Q5. What is one of you most treasured accomplishments?
Two years ago I set a personal goal to photograph one of my favourite high fashion models. She is very unique and exclusive and it seemed impossible at the time. February 2017 I was contracted by a large fashion brand to shoot her and it is still one of my most treasured accomplishments in my career.
Q6. You work with the most beautiful women and capture these amazing shots, what is your secret behind the camera?
Creating a trusting relationship with the model so important in this industry. Often times the model and I become friends after working together so the shoot is that much more relaxed. It never feels like work, more like were just hanging out and having fun. I always come into every shoot with a strong vision for each model. When you create a relaxed vibe for the team involved, everyone is able to focus and it becomes natural and not posed. Most of my favorite shots are not planned, just simply capturing the moment.
Q7. What motivates you?
I feel like I’ve only scrapped the surface of where I want to go and it is already so exciting. What motivates me the most is knowing that there is no expiration date on my career. I am extremely passionate about what I do and always say if I won a million dollars I would still go to work every day because it is who I am. I have future plans to start my own Marketing & PR Agency. Many people are unaware of the numerous roles I play in my brand. I am creative director, model scout and relations, director of photography and styling and post production retoucher. I love every role but am so excited to spread my efforts into different business ventures and grow my company to a larger scale business. I love being able to create the vision a commercial company has for their brand.
Q8. If you could only choose 1 outfit, what would be your ultimate favorite?
My favourite outfit is a cropped tee with a pair of distressed denim shorts, a camo jacket and vans. I love oversized graphic tee’s and heels and I always make every outfit slightly edgy.
Q9. Please share with our tribe of Women, one piece of advice that you have received which has helped you throughout your journey?
I have 2 favorites:
1. Never allow anyone or anything to stand in the way of your goals. If you have a vision or dream for your life, stay focused and accept that not everyone will join you on your journey.
2. If it was easy everyone would do it. Remember that you are exactly where you are supposed to be in your life. The challenges make us who we are and test how bad we want it.
Q10. What is your favorite part of working as a photographer?
I love sharing my vision with the world. Photography is such an amazing outlet to share how you feel or what you are inspired by without speaking at all. It provides me with such an interesting confidence, because I am able to connect with the world on such a large scale without the focus being on me.
