Q2. Tell us all about you and the story of how you have gotten to this point in your life?

When I was 22, I had the opportunity to start my own physical therapy, occupational therapy and chiropractic office. My father is a chiropractor and he was going through a bad breakup with his ex business partner.  There was no money left in the business; the ex business partner and the secretary had taken it all. They shared a rehab and they finally finished selling the business back to my dad, when my dad had a stroke. With my family’s support, I decided I would try and see if I could build up this business. We found out two months later that the building we were in was being sold and we were going to have to move. Finding a new home for the practice, I started to build the practice with my family’s support and help. My mom is a dental hygienist so she would work two days at her dental office and the rest of the time with me. We made such a great team! There were lots of ups and downs. I am not a therapist so it was hard trying to find staff that would stay when you had very little work for them. No bank wanted to give you a loan when you had no credit. Thankfully my brother was working a very good job at the time and was able to lend me some money to stay alive at times, just to pay rent and salaries. I was not able to earn an income for many years. everything I had went back into the business. I kept pushing and every year I noticed that we made it through and we seem to be growing. It was exciting to see these little things that would happen. Finding the therapists that felt like family, meeting the right people to learn from and help grow the business.  Nine years later I have built a thriving business and have the most amazing staff working in my office. I feel so blessed. I have not stopped there. I have always felt like there is more for me. A good friend of mine suggested I start a podcast. I was wondering what I would be talking about? One thing I have always loved is talking about love and relationships. My parents have a beautiful loving relationship and I feel like sometimes we just don’t see enough of the good ones out there. Now on this podcast, I get to talk about relationships and how we can all learn from the good ones and change how we do things.
