I’m so excited about my next guest⭐️✨
✍🏽🪡🧵

This is going to be an absolute spectacular interview. I’m extremely excited to introduce my next guest because she teaches us that it is never to late to start, no matter what age you are.

Meet Erin Calhoun-Dulaney – Creator of the “SkirtMyPump” slip

Erin has been a Type 1 Diabetic (T1D) for 39 years and has used an insulin pump for her insulin delivery for about 15 years.  After years of being too frustrated w/ where to place her insulin pump while wearing skirts & dresses, she created a great solution, the SkirtMyPump slip.

She designed the unique SkirtMyPump slip with a discreet, well placed pocket and zippers to hold her insulin pump.  The slip is being ordered by customers worldwide; other type 1 diabetic women in need of the same freedom to more easily wear skirts and dresses with their insulin pump.  Erin recently found out that the slip is also being used worldwide by travelers. These individuals want an extremely discreet and safe place to keep important essentials such as their passport, hotel key and currency while traveling.  It would be awful to have a purse stolen while out on the town, but it would be even more awful to have a purse stolen with a passport and credit cards inside.  The SkirtMyPump is the ultimate slip for T1Ds and travelers alike!

Thank you so much Erin for sharing with my community, blog and various platforms.

Please help me welcome Erin✍🏽💛✨

MY INTERVIEW WITH ERIN CALHOUN-DULANEY

Q1.  What did you want to be growing up?

Growing up, I always wanted to be a mom and a business owner.  I have always loved children and I always looked up to my dad who owned his own successful business.

Q2. What is Skirt My Pump?

The SkirtMyPump is an undergarment slip that I designed with an innovative, discreet pocket.  I am a type one diabetic and the slip was originally designed to hold my insulin pump when I wore dresses and skirts.  However, it has evolved from that specific demographic to also include the larger demographic of travelers who buy the slip to wear their passport on them at all times, concealed and safe.

People are also using the slip for a night on the town to hold car keys, phone and money so they don’t need to use a purse.

Actresses and singers are even using it to hold their microphone packs when performing on stage in a skirt or dress.

Q3.  You’re a phenomenal women, where do you get your inspiration and drive from?

I get my inspiration from other entrepreneurs who create need based ideas for problems that don’t really seem to have a good solution yet.

Q4.  Please share with our tribe of Women, one piece of advice that you have received which has helped you throughout your journey?

You’re never too old to start.

Q5. Tell how you process work load stress or personal stress or just to much coming at you at one time?

For me work load stress is just looking at my to-do list and I feel better when I cross things off of that list.

Q6. If you could speak to one woman from history, who would it be?

My grandmother, Ellen June Calhoun

Q7. Favorite quote?

“Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did.  So throw off the bylines, sail away from the safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”  Mark Twain
