Hi, Hello, Hey,

Ahhhh Fall, O how I’ve missed you.

It was so freaking hotttt this summer that November couldn’t get here fast enough.🦋💎🤍 I absolutely love summer months don’t get me wrong (Sun, Tank Tops, Tans, Water and Flip Flops) but in Texas it just always hot so a change is welcome.

As we are closing out 2022, I have hit my 100^th Episode on my blog, wow! It seems like just the other day, January 1, 2017 I had an idea to start my Blog, My 1st Episode I featured Christine Bullock which is an absolute force to be reckoned with.

Today I have reached my 100^th episode and I decided to roll out my New Website as well. Only thing left is My Photo Shoot and that is scheduled so stayed tuned for that…

(Just an update: New Website is completed with all blog interviews, but it’s still in the process of downloading all photos on past features so please be patient. Now Lisa’s Feature has photographs and everything on hers because I am actually writing from my new site.)

MY INTERVIEW WITH LISA JAROSCAK

Q1.  What did you want to be growing up?

When I was in elementary school I always told people I wanted to be an international franchise attorney.  Not what you would expect as an answer from a third grader, but to stay in line with being a big dreamer and a love for the dramatics I wanted to be an opera singer.  Classical music was my first love and passion in love, and I pursued it in high school, college and as a young professional.  It is what led me to Chicago, and while I am not actively singing anymore professionally it did change my life.  It taught me to market myself, be an entrepreneur and know that the only way to grow is to put in the work.

Q2. What motivates you when you are planning an event?  

My clients!  One of the reasons I love working in events so much is helping an idea or a dream grow from infancy into reality.  Watching my client live in their event for the first time and having it far exceed their expectations is why I love doing what I do.

Q3. What is a day in the life of LISA JAROSCAK?

I always start every day with some snuggles with my corgi and a cup of coffee.  From there usually emails, client meetings, zoom calls, more meetings, and my husband reminding me that I need to eat dinner. With my career there are definitely ebbs and flows of what the daily life is.  During my event season I am executing, doing walk through, vendor meetings, floral samples, etc.  During my off season I spend a lot more time on my computer preparing for the events to come.  I always try to carve time for non-work activities and force myself to spend time with non industry friends.  I am not an expert on work life balance, but I am making a conscious effort to be better at it.

Q4.  If you could only choose 1 vacationing spot that you have visited, where would your ultimate favorite be?

Forever and always this will be Italy.

Q5  Please share with our tribe of Women, one piece of advice that you have received which has helped you throughout your journey? 

There is never a reason that you can’t achieve something you want.  If you don’t know how to do something all you need to do is learn how to.

Q6.. What is your secret to being able to wear so many hats?

Having separate email addresses for each company.

Q7.  Tell how you process work load stress or personal stress or just to much coming at you at one time?.

I am so fortunate to have a partner who is also in hospitality and lets me vent to him.  I also sometime just remove myself from working and read a book to distract myself.

Q8. If you could speak to one woman from history, who would it be?

Lucille Ball.  I loved watching I Love Lucy growing, and it would be so amazing to meet her in person.
