Hey to my favorite boss babes,

I apologize for the MIA, my grandmother was put in ICU this weekend and I have been spending all my time with her!  She is 95 years of age, has outlived 2 husband and 2 boyfriends hahahah and she is finally on the mend. The best part is if you saw her you would not think she is 95 and she sure doesn’t act like it!  With Mother’s Day around the corner it made me think of how important grandmothers and mothers are and how much you can learn from them.  Take sometime this weekend to shower them with love and then ask them some questions on how they have come this far in life.  You may be surprised on what they say.

ON ANOTHER NOTE:

Well when I said I had a treat for you, I meant it because when I saw the name of business for my next guest, I was like OMGGGG, HOW FREAKING CUTE!  Then when I really got to know her, I was blown away at the support she gave women entrepreneurs as well as provides guidance on building your brand  so people crave it.

Meet the lady behind @toastmeetsjam , she is Jennifer Hacker, founder of Toast Meets Jam, where she helps women entrepreneurs build and grow their brands through content, coaching, and her free course Let’s Brand This!. She is also a video contributor to the Entrepreneur Network featuring interviews with female founders 🎥🙌🏼🙏🏼❤️💪🏼

Episode # 27

MY INTERVIEW WITH JENNIFER HACKER

Q1.  What did you want to be growing up?

I always said I wanted to be Oprah or Samantha Brown from the Travel Channel.

Q2.  How do you help women find their passion, make a living doing what they love and live their ideal life?

The three core values of Toast Meets Jam are confidence, coaching, and community.

When we put ourselves out there we want to put our best foot forward. I believe phenomenal branding helps us do that. I want women to see Toast Meets Jam as their wing woman for brand success. It’s a place they can turn to find specific strategies they  can apply to their business, actionable advice, and stress free tips to bring their dreams to life.

If you want to learn from those who have gone before you, Toast TV is where you can turn. It’s where I share the startup stories of  women behind brands of all sizes. I call them our toasts of the town because they’re women who inspire and whom we admire. When

you  watch their interviews you’ll find advice for your business whether that’s how to launch or how to manage 1000 employees.

And if you want to find other female founders to relate to, get into the Toast Meets Jam fam by joining the email list and Facebook group. This is where you’ll find out about upcoming Toast brunches and find a space to talk shop… or shopping : )

Q3.  Please share with our tribe of Women, one piece of advice you have received, which has helped you throughout your journey?

Things always seem to take longer than you’d ever imaged. And I find that can make the journey toward realizing your dreams  particularly challenging. I came across this story and I think of it whenever I start to get discouraged:

The Pregnant Dog And Elephant:

An elephant and a dog became pregnant at same time. Three months down the line the dog gave birth to six puppies. Six months later the dog was pregnant again, and nine months on it gave birth to another dozen puppies. The pattern continued. On the eighteenth month the dog approached the elephant questioning, _”Are you sure that you are pregnant? We became pregnant on the same date, I have given birth three times to a dozen puppies and they are now grown to become big dogs, yet you are still pregnant. Whats going on?”. The elephant replied, “There is something I want you to understand. What I am carrying is not a puppy but an elephant. I only give birth to one in two years. When my baby hits the ground, the earth feels it. When my baby crosses the road, human beings stop and watch in admiration, what I carry draws attention. So what I’m carrying is mighty and great.”

Don’t lose faith when you see others receive answers to their prayers. Don’t be envious of others testimony. If you haven’t received your own blessings, don’t despair. Say to

yourself “My time is coming, and when it hits the surface of the earth, people shall yield in admiration.” –  Charles Junior

Q4. What are you currently working on?  Any future collaborations you want to share for 2017?

This summer I’m launching Brand Camp, a six week course to build your brand from the bottom up. I’m really excited about that! I think that it’s going to really help women with dreams launch their brands and help those who have businesses take their brands to the next level.  http://www.toastmeetsjam.com/brand-camp/
